Easter Lunch with friends

Hosting an Easter Lunch this coming weekend? Are you looking for inspiration that is stylish yet achievable? Do you love to entertain but wish you had more time to prepare a delicious meal?

Last Friday I hosted a very simple lunch for a group of four girlfriends. We all lead busy lives and only had a few hours to get together to celebrate our friendship.

Setting the theme for our lunch were these adorable salad plates from Pottery Barn.

These divine 'gull eggs' where presented in a tiny nest as favours for each guest.

In A Pickle is always the first place I visit when I'm hosting a lunch or dinner. For our girls lunch I served tomato and sweet corn tart with silverbeet and rissoni salad.

A glass of Verve always puts a smile on my face.

For dessert I served these decadent Pistachio Meringues with clotted cream from In A Pickle and this wicked Turkish Delight Cheesecake from Jocelyn's Provisions.

Recently I teamed up with The Brown Trading Co. and Verandah House to photograph TBTC's latest range of cushions.

I wanted to share with you my three favourites from the day.

Judy is currently giving my home a freshen up and I'm totally in love with everything she has shown me. Whimsical Garden 3rd Birthday

This weekend I had the honour of creating this pretty Whimsical Garden dessert table for Sophie's 3rd Birthday. Sophie's mum is the creative talent behind Katie Lauren Designs.

Cupcakes, heart marshmallows, handmade chocolates and raspberry, coconut and white chocolate truffles.

The most perfect macarons I've ever tasted in white choc and lavender.

Fun at the Fair

I've just spent the weekend down in Sydney at the Gift Fair. Lots of pretty things to be seen, here are a few of my favourites.

Trying desperately to find a project that requires this bicycle

I always love the Specklefarm stand. Buckets of colour blocked pencils just float my boat.

As does beautiful french grosgrain ribbon

Absolutely loving their new range of striped lanterns. The green and navy would have looked fab at William's 4th birthday party.

Alexander and Co.

Alexander & Co. is a Chicago based company that lets you create custom artwork by selecting colours, text and design to suit your decor.

I think these fun posters would work equally as well at a party as part of the decoration and then can be hung on the wall in your home after for an instant glam look.

There are heaps of designs and I'm going to suggest one of the wedding designs to my friend that's getting married soon in a gorgeous white barn (cannot wait to share all the details with you).

I'm thinking of ordering the pink "Candies" one below for my own office. What do you think? They are pretty gorgeous hey?
